RECOMMENDED CLASSIFICATION CRITERIA
NORTH DAKOTA REGISTERED SHOOTS
(Effective September 1, 2016)


16 YARD AND DOUBLES

New shooter – A shooter who has a card in possession with no record of previous year’s participation, or, card applied for with receipt in possession, or, card applied for at the time of registration for classification.

Adult Male (18 years and over)                                           0-500 targets no less than Class “C”

Juniors (15 and under 18 years old)                                     0-500 targets no less than Class “C”

Sub-Juniors (Below 15 years old)                                         0-500 targets no less than Class “D”

Ladies                                                                               0-500 targets no less than Class “D”

After 500 targets, classification shall be based on the shooter’s average with the application of known ability.

Junior and Sub-Junior age is established on the first day of the current target year and remains for the entire target year.

Shooters with targets on record:

                Less than 500 targets – use previous year’s average and known ability

                Between 500 and 700 targets – use current year’s average and known ability, or previous year’s average and                 known ability, whichever is highest.

                Any scores 10% below average on current card shall be disregarded.


HANDICAP

NEW SHOOTERS:

        Male Shooter (15 years and older)                                     Shall be assigned to 20 yards.

        Lady Shooter                                                                   Shall be assigned to 19 yards.

SHOOTERS ARE ADVISED THAT THE TARGET YEAR STARTS ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 AND RUNS THROUGH AUGUST 31 OF 2017.
